DIY: Make your own floral icelolly!
On these hot august summer days, what would be better other than an ice-lolly?
A floral ice lolly of course!
Our floral popsicles are a pretty addition to any summer garden party or bbq.
Or just to have at home for when you crave something sweet to treat the heat.
They are also very easy to make and a perfect activity to do with the kids!
Tropical Mango Pansy Pop
You need
Zester/grater
Sharp knife
Stirring spoon
Ingredients
1 mango
1 blood orange
1 Carton of coconut water
1 organic lemon, zest+juice
1 fresh vanilla pod
12 edible flowers (listed our favourites in this post)
Honey or agave
Here’s how
Carefully rinse the edible flowers. Remove petals or leave them whole if you’d prefer.
Scrape the vanilla seeds from the pod and zest about a quarter of the lemon. Put vanilla and zest in the jug. Pour the coconut water and juice from the lemon into the jug and stir.
Add honey to taste
Put some fruit pieces and flower petals into each mould.
Fill each popsicle with the sweetened coconut water.
Place the lid securely on the popsicles and freeze until set (about 3-4 hours minimum)
If you prefer a smoothly textured popsicle, blend the fruit, coconut water, vanilla, lemon and honey together.
