Campanula & Bellflower Care Guide
Campanula, also known as Bellflowers, are elegant seasonal stems with delicate bell-shaped blooms. They benefit from clean water, a fresh cut and a cool position to stay looking their best.
On arrival
— Remove all packaging carefully.
— Recut 2–3cm from the base of each stem at an angle using clean, sharp floral snips.
— Remove any foliage that would sit below the waterline.
— Place the stems immediately into a clean vase or bucket filled with fresh water and flower food.
— Allow them to hydrate for a few hours before arranging.
— Keep away from direct sunlight, radiators, drafts and ripening fruit.
During vase life
— Check the water level daily. Campanula can drink quite heavily.
— Refresh the water every 2–3 days.
— Recut the stems when changing the water.
— Remove fading lower blooms as the stem continues to develop.
— Keep the flowers in a cool position whenever possible.
Styling tip
Campanula’s tall stems and airy bell-shaped flowers are perfect for adding height and movement without making an arrangement feel heavy. They work beautifully in garden-style bouquets, weddings and tall vase displays.
