Dahlia Care Guide
Dahlias are naturally delicate flowers and may occasionally appear soft or droopy after transit. This is usually temporary dehydration and they often recover well after conditioning.
On arrival:
— Remove all packaging carefully.
— Recut approximately 2cm from the base of each stem using clean, sharp floral snips.
— Place immediately into a clean vase with plenty of fresh water and flower food.
— Leave the flowers to hydrate in a cool place for several hours before arranging.
— Refresh the water every 2–3 days and recut the stems if required.
If your dahlias arrive droopy
Don’t panic. Recut the stems and place them into plenty of fresh, clean water. Leave them to hydrate in a cool place for several hours — they will often perk up beautifully.
