Lisianthus Care Guide
Lisianthus are elegant, long-lasting flowers with multiple buds and blooms on each stem. With a little care, they can stay looking beautiful for well over a week.
On arrival:
— Remove all packaging carefully.
— Recut 2–3cm from the base of each stem using clean, sharp floral snips.
— Remove any leaves that would sit below the waterline.
— Place immediately into a clean vase with fresh water and flower food.
— Leave the flowers to hydrate in a cool place for a few hours before arranging.
— Keep away from direct sunlight, heat sources, drafts and ripening fruit.
— Refresh the water every 2–3 days and recut the stems if required.
To help the buds open
Lisianthus often arrive with a mixture of open flowers and closed buds. Keep them in fresh water at normal room temperature and allow a few days for the buds to gradually open.
For longer vase life
Use a clean vase, refresh the water regularly and remove any fading blooms as they age. This helps the remaining buds and flowers stay fresher for longer.
